The Army-Navy Fly Fishing Competition
The Army-Navy Fly Fishing Event was born out of this shared appreciation for the sport and a desire to bring together active duty members, veterans, and alumni from the U.S. Military Academy and U.S. Naval Academy. What started as a friendly competition has grown into a meaningful annual tradition — one that blends rivalry with respect, and recreation with restoration.
Now in its fifth year, the event is held on the South Branch of the Raritan River in Califon, New Jersey. With professional guides, streamside viewing, and a strong sense of military camaraderie, the Army-Navy Fly Fishing Competition celebrates not just the sport itself, but the people and values it connects.
